In May 2024, Garena's Free Fire (including Free Fire MAX) topped the global mobile game download charts with over 27 million downloads, according to Sensor Tower's Store Intelligence data.

India was the largest market for the game, contributing 34.5% of the downloads, followed by Indonesia and Brazil, with 18.7% and 6.2% respectively. To keep players engaged during the summer holidays, the game introduced several new events such as Paradox, Summer Homework, and Chicky Royale.

Supercell's Squad Busters Takes Second Place

Supercell's Squad Busters, released on May 29, secured the second spot with over 26 million downloads. The United States was the game's largest market, accounting for 13.6% of the downloads. Indonesia and Brazil followed, contributing 11.3% and 8.2% respectively.
