It's expected to go live with Patch 11.00, on June 25, launching alongside Season 2025 Act IV.
To help players get the hang of it, Riot's cutting Rank Rating (RR) losses by 50% in Competitive matches for the first two weeks, while wins still give full RR.
Also, a Swiftplay queue for Corrode will run from June 25 to June 30, 2025, letting players jump into quick matches to learn the map.

The Corrode Official Map Trailer shows off weathered stone walls, salt-covered structures, and mining gear, all under a stormy sky.
Moving trucks, trains, and an ATLAS carrier spice things up, making players think fast about cover and positioning.
The map has a three-lane setup with two Spike Sites, built to favor gunfights and smart plays over ability spam.
Riot's added plenty of defensive spots and fallback areas, answering fan calls for more balanced gameplay.
Tight choke points and long mid lanes are perfect for snipers, while high platforms and underground paths open the door for sneaky flanks.
How It'll Play
After playing 20+ ranks on Corrode, it feels like a attacker-sided map.
The main entrances to both Spike Sites (A Main/B Main) are tight choke points, perfect for Sentinels like Killjoy, Cypher, or Vyse to lock down aggressive rushes with traps or lockdowns.
Mid control is absolutely critical here— similar to Abyss, securing it as attackers opens up flexible site rotations and lets you pinch from side paths, syncing with teammates in Main for crossfire setups. Defenders, meanwhile, can exploit the long, narrow mid lane to set up snipers, shutting down attacker pushes with well-placed Operators.

The map's littered with corners, giving flash-heavy agents like Phoenix or Kay/O plenty of room to pop off with blinds that catch defenders off guard.
Reddit's already buzzing with fans joking that Corrode will be a "corner rat heaven", where sneaky players can lurk and outplay.
This setup rewards teams that balance mid control with clever utility use, but attackers will need crisp coordination to crack the map's defensive shell.
Expect pro teams to lean on precise executes and sniper picks, while ranked players might see chaotic mid fights and corner-peeking duels dominate early games.
Best Agents for "Corrode"
Corrode's layout makes certain agents stand out, with specific roles shining in its tight chokes, long sightlines, and corner-heavy design.
Here's a breakdown of the best picks and why they work, based on the map's flow and community insights.
Duelists
Jett and Phoenix are your go-to picks.
Jett's dashes and smokes let her slip past Corrode's defensive angles, making her ideal for cracking chokes like A Main or B Main. She can also zip onto high platforms or hold mid with an Op, turning fights her way.
Meanwhile, Phoenix is a beast in all the corners, flashing to clear angles on attack or blind lurkers on defense. His wall and flashes make him a pain to deal with in tight spaces.

Sentinels
Killjoy, Cypher, and Vyse are good choices for this map.
KJ's turret can watch mid or side paths, snagging info and slowing rushes, while her grenades and ult make sites like A or B a nightmare to take.
Cypher's wires and cam lock down chokes, giving you early heads-up on pushes.
Vyse's wall and traps can seal tight paths, forcing attackers into bad spots.
Controllers
Omen, Astra, and Brimstone are solid smoke choices.
Omen's TP and blind are clutch in Corrode's corner-filled layout, letting him pop around angles or flash enemies in chokes like A Main or mid. His smokes are fast and versatile, great for blocking snipers or setting up site takes.
Astra's stars give you smokes or stuns across multiple chokes, letting you control mid or sites from afar. Her ult can split sites for easy plants or retakes.
Brim's smokes are precise for long lanes, and his molly and ult clear corners or stop plants in tight spots.
In simple words, Omen's edge comes from his sneaky movement, but Astra and Brim shine for team-focused plays.
Initiators
Most games we can see Fade as Initiator in Corrode.
Due to the multiple-roofs map design, Fade's eye can easily find enermies in sites. Also, her dogs is really useful to check the corners.
