Valorant Agent 27 Tejo: Role, Release Date, and Abilities

On December 9, 2024, Valorant's official Twitter account released the first teaser for an upcoming agent, while in recent days, they began posting countdowns in Spanish, which has fueled players' curiosity and speculation about the new character.

Role & Background

According to leaks on X, the new agent, most likely the Agent 27, will be named as "Tejo" and will be an Initiator from Colombia.

This makes him the seventh agent in this category, joining the ranks of Sova, Breach, Skye, KAY/O, Fade and Gekko.

@Fhrak_ pointed out that the scene featured in the latest teaser corresponds to a real location in Bercy, Paris.

Mentioning France naturally brings to mind the agent Chamber, so it's very likely that there will be some connection between the two in the backstory.

Release Date

Based on the countdown from Valorant's official Twitter account, January 7th is when the countdown ends, conveniently falling on Tuesday, a possible day for announcement for new patch.

Typically, Valorant Patch Notes update every 2-3 weeks on Tuesdays. Since the last update, Patch 9.11, was on December 10, 2024, and considering the Christmas holiday, January 7th is the most likely date for the Patch Notes 10.0.

Riot usually releases official gameplay trailers before its patch notes. So, if an update were to occur on January 7th, the information about both Episode 10 Act 1 and the new agent's gameplay trailers will be revealed.

Considering the release patterns of Vyse and Clove, Tejo will be released soon in January.

Abilities

Intel Tool?

Based on the first countdown teaser video, the new agent's abilities will include a robot looks like Raze's Boom Bot.

From the view switch and zoom at the end of the video, it's speculated that this ability might be a controlled deployable intel tool, similar to Sova's drone, allowing you to switch to its perspective for gathering information.
