Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis & Tomb Raider: Catalyst
At The Game Awards 2025, Tomb Raider fans were treated to the announcement of two distinct, upcoming games, both developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Amazon Games:
- Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis (Release Date: 2026)
This game is a complete, built-from-the-ground-up reimagining of the original 1996 Tomb Raider. It brings back the classic, dual-pistol-wielding Lara Croft aesthetic, powered by modern Unreal Engine 5 visuals. The trailer highlighted updated versions of iconic moments like the T-Rex encounter.
- Tomb Raider: Catalyst (Release Date: 2027)
This is the next mainline entry in the franchise, described as the "most expansive" Tomb Raider world yet, with a vast setting hinted to be in Northern India. The narrative features an older, more experienced Lara Croft and aims to unify the various timelines of the series' history.
Both titles are single-player, narrative-driven adventures coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Pragmata
After numerous delays, Capcom's sci-fi adventure Pragmata finally received a firm release date of April 24, 2026.
The new trailer detailed the unique combat system involving character synergy and confirmed that a demo, titled "Pragmata Sketchbook," is available now on Steam.
The game is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and surprisingly, the Nintendo Switch 2.
Forest 3
Endnight Games surprised fans with the world premiere of Forest 3, the latest installment in their survival horror series.
The reveal trailer showcased a striking shift from Earth to an alien world/sci-fi setting, complete with advanced tech, a shoulder-mounted crane, and mysterious facehugger-like creatures, indicating a dramatic genre evolution for the franchise.
Platforms and an official release date are still TBD.
Resident Evil Requiem
Capcom officially confirmed the heavily rumored addition of Leon S. Kennedy as a second playable protagonist in Resident Evil Requiem.
A new trailer highlighted the game's dual dynamic: Grace Ashcroft's segments will focus on classic survival horror, while Leon's will be all about the action-packed sequences, complete with his signature roundhouse kick.
The game is slated for release on February 27, 2026, and also features a new partnership with Porsche for an in-game vehicle.
Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic
TGA 2025 also kicked off with the huge announcement of Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, a new single-player narrative-driven action RPG.
The game is a "spiritual successor" to the beloved Knights of the Old Republic, led by the original game's director, Casey Hudson, and his new Arcanaut Studios.
It will introduce all-new characters and a new story set within the Old Republic era, focusing on player choice between the light and dark sides of the Force.
Game Updates
Diablo IV's second expansion was unveiled at TGA 2025 and will arrive on April 28, 2026.
It wraps up the "Age of Hatred" story on the dangerous new island of Skovos, where players will finally face Mephisto.
The Paladin makes a long-awaited return, playable right away for anyone who pre-purchases the expansion.
Players can also dive into reworked skill trees, the return of the Horadric Cube, Talismans, War Plans, the tough Echoing Hatred gauntlet, and even a fun fishing mini-game.
Marvel Rivals Season 6: Night at the Museum
The new season, titled "Night at the Museum," was revealed with a trailer showcasing the addition of two new playable characters: the long-awaited Deadpool and the monster hunter Elsa Bloodstone.
Where Winds Meet - Imperial Palace
A brand-new trailer for the "Imperial Palace" update was revealed, confirming its release is scheduled for the end of 2026.
This content update for the Wuxia action-adventure RPG will feature a significant new area within the game world.
Zenless Zone Zero: New Characters - Ye Shunguang & Zhao
HoYoverse showcased a new Zenless Zone Zero trailer for the upcoming Version 2.5 update, which introduces two new playable Agents: the S-Rank Attack character Ye Shunguang (who can glide on her sword) and the new 5-star Defense character Zhao.
