>>> OVERWATCH 2 DEVELOPER UPDATE: HERO RELEASES, MYTHICS, AND GAMEPLAY UPDATES
Hero Unlocks and Newcomer Venture
All Heroes Accessible from Season 10

In a significant shift, Blizzard has revealed that starting with Season 10, all new heroes will be immediately unlocked upon their release. This update also applies to existing heroes, making them available to all players without the need to unlock them through the Battle Pass. However, new players will still need to complete the introductory experience before unlocking all heroes.
Venture Joins the Ranks

The 40th hero, Venture, who was teased at last year's BlizzCon with unique underground abilities and a daring persona, will be instantly accessible to players when they step into the Overwatch 2 world in Season 10.
Mythic Shop and Skin Customization
Season 10 introduces the Mythic Shop, a new way for players to earn, upgrade, and unlock Mythic hero skins. Players can now choose how much to invest in each skin's customization options and can also work towards acquiring past seasonal Mythic skins.
Previous Skins in the Mythic Shop

The Mythic Shop will feature skins from previous seasons, starting with those from Seasons 1 to 7, available two seasons after their initial release.
Coins and Challenges Revamp
More Coins and Flexible Challenges
The upcoming season will see an increase in the number of coins players can earn for free, rising from 540 to 600 per season. Weekly challenges will become more adaptable to individual playstyles and will reward players with Battle Pass XP.
Gameplay Evolution
Consistent Updates and New Features
Blizzard is dedicated to keeping Overwatch 2's core gameplay invigorating by regularly introducing new systems, meta changes, rank resets, and rewards. Feedback from the community remains a crucial factor in these ongoing developments.
New Modes & Map Updates
Clash Mode
The new mode Clash will be introduced with two new maps. A limited-time Clash playtest on the Hanaoka map will commence at the start of Season 10.
New Map: Runasapi
Season 11 promises the introduction of the Push map Runasapi, set in Peru, and a reworked version of the Colosseo map. Significant updates are also in the works for several existing maps based on player input.
Map Reworks
Feedback from the community has also led to a focus on reworking existing maps, with Colosseo slated for an overhaul in Season 11 and a special season dedicated to map reworks post-Season 12.
